These pictures show Kent Fire and Rescue Service tackling a fire at a commercial and residential property in Dover town centre this morning (July 6).
Firefighters were called to the ETC pawn shop in Cannon Street at 9am.
Smoke could be seen billowing out of the front of the store, which has residential dwellings situated directly above it. Kent Fire and Rescue Service did not confirm a fire until crews managed to get inside and find the source of the smoke.
Crews had to establish where the smoke was originating from before they could confirm there was a fire
An eyewitness described the scene: “There is loads of smoke coming out from the shop. The guttering looks really hot and I can see soot.”
