Police bust £100k woodland cannabis farm near Sevenoaks

Police have busted a woodland cannabis farm with an estimated street value of around £100,000 near West Kingsdown.

Officers searched woodland near Fawkham Road today (September 4) and found two areas containing a total of 492 cannabis plants.

Detective inspector Graham Curtis of Kent Police said: “Those responsible for this criminal enterprise have spent a considerable amount of time cultivating the plants.

“With a street value of approximately £100,000, somebody will no doubt be disappointed to hear there will not be a return on months’ worth of horticultural effort.”

Investigating officers say the plants would have been ready for harvest in the next four to six weeks.

The full crop was seized by police.
