Kent girl Kelly Brook is probably best known for her modelling, acting and sultry selfies.

But one of Rochester‘s most famous natives raised eyebrows for something entirely different earlier this year, when she showcased her home during coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show.

The brunette beauty, 37, invited the cameras into her £1 million Kentish mansion as part of a ‘celebrity re-brand’, The Mirror reports.

Her image overhaul featured in the programme saw Kelly attempt to become the Nigella Lawson of the horticultural world.

When the episode aired in May viewers were impressed with her 600-year-old apple farm, near Lenham, where she grows her own vegetables.

As the footage showed, the land has been fully landscaped and – thanks to Kelly’s green fingers – is rich with trees, plants and bright, carefully curated flower beds.

Inside the ex-glamour model’s home – a 15th-century listed building not far from Maidstone – is an amazing dressing room, stripped-wood floors, antique radiators and a country cottage kitchen.

Clips showed a rustic, British style, which comprised of antique ornaments, watercolour art pieces and plush fabrics.

The conservative decor offered rather sharp contrast to Kelly’s personality, which is generally brassy and loud, but people watching seemed to like it.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “So jealous of Kelly’s garden and home! Shows that people’s perception of a person can be so far removed from the reality!”.

Meanwhile, another added: “It’s been lovely to see your progress and love for your garden ( and veggie patch!) on Instagram too!”.

A third chimed in: “Really loving see you on Chelsea Flower show. Seeing whole different side to you. Think your passion for gardening is lovely”.
