The festive period is fast approaching, and there’s nothing better than a Christmas market to get you in the mood for the season.

One of Kent’s most beautiful castles will once again be hosting one of Kent’s biggest Christmas markets over four weekends this year, with entertainment, music and a variety of stalls.

The Leeds Castle Christmas Market attracts thousands of people every year, with visitors often combining a trip to the markets with a browse around the 12th century castle.

When is Leeds Christmas Market?

The 2017 markets will be held on November 25 and 26, and then December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17.

It will be held from 10am to 5pm on these dates.

Where are the Leeds Christmas Markets held?

The markets are held on the Cedar Lawn overlooking the Castle.

What can I buy at the Leeds Castle Christmas Markets?

There will be dozens of stalls offering seasonal gifts, toys, festive decorations and specialist food and drink.

What entertainment can I enjoy?

Visitors can meet Father Christmas’ Reindeer in their stable, watch birds of prey displays and enjoy traditional funfair rides.

Leeds Castle is also runnings its Traditions of Christmas event, which will see the castle rooms displayed with glittering decorations and fragrant pine trees styled around Christmas traditions, past and present.

Children can also follow a trail of Christmas puddings in selected rooms through the Castle, to be rewarded with a chocolate sixpence for joining in the fun.

The Traditions of Christmas will run from November 25 to December 24, and then from December 26 until January 1.

How much is it?

You will need to buy normal Leeds Castle admission tickets to enjoy the Christmas markets.

These are £24.50 for adults, £21.90 for senior citizens and students and £16.90 for children under 15. Children under four can enter free.

All visitor tickets are also valid for one year from the date of purchase, and you can use it as many times as you like.
