Three people have been arrested after a man was found dead in Maidstone last night (November 21).

Two men and a woman are being held in custody after officers were called to Woodford Road in Barming where the victim was first discovered by paramedics.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has also been notified of the incident due to the deceased having prior contact with police.

A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called to a private address in Woodford Road, Maidstone, by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 10.24pm on Tuesday 21 November 2017.

“A man was confirmed dead at the scene and the circumstances are being investigated.

“Officers are awaiting the findings of a post mortem and three people – two men and a woman from the Maidstone – have been arrested in connection with the death.

“They remain in custody as enquiries continue.”
